Replacing your kitchen countertops may sound like a long and stressful project, but with the right preparation, it can be completed much faster than many homeowners expect. At Rock Your World, our process is designed around ONE DAY INSTALLATION, helping San Diego homeowners complete countertop projects quickly, cleanly, and professionally.

Our goal is to cover all the trades involved in the project, from demolition and removal to quartz installation, backsplash, sink work, plumbing connections, cleanup, and hauling.

Step One: Protect, Disconnect, Remove, and Clean

The first part of the process is preparing the home and removing the existing countertops.

We begin by covering and protecting the floors around the countertop areas using blankets and drop cloths. This helps protect your home while the work is being completed.

Next, we disconnect the existing plumbing and sink. After that, we demolish and remove the existing countertops. Once the old materials are removed, we haul away the trash and debris, vacuum the area, and clean up the site.

This first step is important because a clean and properly prepared work area helps the installation move smoothly.

Step Two: Support, Fabricate, Cut, and Install

After removal and cleanup, the new countertop installation begins.

We install new 5/8” plywood underlayment for subtop support. This creates a strong base for the quartz countertops. Then we install and secure one undermount sink in place.

The quartz countertops are fabricated, cut, and installed to fit the existing kitchen cabinet layout. We also cut and polish one opening for the undermount sink, cut and install prefabricated backsplash, and seal all edges and connections.

The contractor provides plywood and prefabricated quartz countertops, helping keep the process organized and efficient.

Step Three: Plumbing and Final Connections

The final part of the one-day installation process includes the plumbing needed to complete the project.

This can include installing new hot and cold water valves, installing and connecting the new faucet, installing and connecting the new drain, and installing and connecting the garbage disposal.

Homeowners provide the items necessary to complete the project, including appliances, faucet, sink-related items, and other selected materials. The contractor performs installation only and can help advise homeowners before purchase regarding size and measurements.

Why Preparation Matters

One day installation depends on proper planning. Before the project begins, homeowners should understand what materials are needed, what appliances may need to be removed or installed, and whether any extra work is required.

Florin’s experience allows Rock Your World to help homeowners understand the project before work begins, including potential problems, timelines, and costs.

Rock Your World can help with more than just quartz installation. We can also assist with existing countertop demolition and removal, appliances, plumbing, sinks, kitchen backsplash tiles or slab stone, upper and lower cabinets, center islands, tile or wood floors, interior walls, ceilings, cleanup, and hauling.

If you started a project and do not have time to finish it, we can help get it done.
